The annual gathering of Northwest outboard hydroplane enthusiasts happens at the West Campground Friday, October 6th through Sunday, October 8th when the Whidbey Island Roostertails hit the lake for their annual regatta. Racing occurs on Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sunday, from 9 am to 2 p.m. The course which covers the west end of Pearrygin Lake will necessitate the boat launch at the West campground as well as the swim area to be closed for the regatta. The East boat launch will remain open through the weekend for all other visitors to Pearrygin Lake State Park.
