The Mary Kiesau Community Fellowship Fund, administered by TwispWorks, supports the independent projects of artists, photographers, naturalists, and naturalist educators working to further their own creativity, professional development, and the community’s connection to the land, art, and each other. This First Tuesday, an event series administered by the Methow Conservancy is a chance to learn about the projects of the 2024 Awardees, Jack McLeod and Cal Waichler. Jack will share about his multi-year photo project documenting the slow change of seasons at the Classroom in Bloom garden through close-up photography. Cal will share about her project utilizing large format woodcut printmaking to depict the riparian complexity of the pre-colonial Methow watershed, and start conversation about what a resilient watershed might look like in a dynamic and climate-changed future.

This event is a collaboration between TwispWorks Foundation and the Methow Conservancy.
